Grand Master Celebrates Unity Dinner in Aiken

Valley of Aiken in conjunction with the Aiken York Rite Bodies celebrated their Sixth Annual Unity Dinner and Ladies Night. The gala event was held again this year at Woodside Plantation and Country Club in Aiken. A social hour preceded the evening’s festivities; the attendees dinner of beef tenderloin and salmon with grilled asparagus prepared to perfection. Co Master of Ceremonies for the evening were SK Joel E. Casey, KYCH Eminent Commander Aiken Commandery # 14 KT, and Ill. Gary B. Hinson, 33° Personal Representative Valley of Aiken. Following the fine meal the celebrants enjoyed the wonderful sounds of Trolley Line Brass from USC Aiken. The appropriate introductions and comments of the distinguished guests and poignant remarks by MW Bro. Barry A. Rickman, 33° Grand Master of Masons in South Carolina followed, each Lady and Widow was presented with a small rose bouquet and the evening’s festivities concluded with a prayer offered by Ill. & Rt. W. Lee Roy Bruce Sr., 33° KYGCH.

Unity Dinner 2013

The Aiken York Rite Bodies and the Valley of Aiken, A&ASR celebrated their Ninth Annual Unity Dinner and Ladies Night at Woodside Plantation and Country Club on June 15, 2013. A social hour preceded the banquet of beef tenderloin and Atlantic salmon. A harpist performed during the diner hour. Roses were presented to each of the ladies. Following the appropriate introductions of the distinguished guests WM Bro. David J. De Chant, 33° GM was welcomed with a standing ovation. The Grand Master thanked the members of Aiken for hosting such a wonderful evening and how much he and Miss Billie have enjoyed being here and great the fellowship. The GM received a standing ovation at the conclusion of his remarks. The evening was concluded with the benediction.
